Okay, I'm writing the main points down. These are the points that need to be straightened out. It's good that there are blogs like this that discuss about the main points of family law, especially on divorce. I'll look for more lawyer blogs out there and see if I can compile some of the ideas.

Although military divorce is not as complicated as is civilian counterpart, they have several rules that are different from one another. For example, with child support, the allocation it should be not go beyond 60% of a military member's earnings, including allowance.

Military divorces are actually more complicated for the courts as the parties are generally not in the same place. Also US courts have difficulity understanding international service of process and international child custody.
